WE'RE HERE TO HELP
text.ly support
Need help connecting your account, sending a message, or understanding a charge? Email us.
text.ly and text.email are operated by the same team at GMass, Inc.
What to include
- Your account email address.
- What you tried and what happened, including the exact error message.
- The approximate time and time zone, message type, and request ID if available.
- For delivery issues, the last four digits of the recipient number are enough to start.
Keep credentials private. Do not send your password, API key, OAuth token, or a full API URL containing credentials. Redact these from screenshots. Start with the error and request ID rather than private message content.
Connecting ChatGPT
Use the same account you use for text.email. Approve the connection on the sign-in and consent pages, then return to ChatGPT. If a connection expires or an approval page times out, start a fresh connection from the plugin's settings in ChatGPT.
The ChatGPT plugin is currently in private preview. A text.email account alone does not grant plugin access. Contact us with questions about availability.
A message did not arrive
Confirm the phone number, message type, and available account allowance. An “accepted” result means the sending system accepted the request; “queued” means it was queued. Neither confirms arrival on the recipient's phone. Carrier filtering, provider restrictions, or the recipient's device can affect delivery.
If the result is unknown, do not repeatedly create new sends. For an API retry, reuse the original idempotency key. Contact us with the request ID if you need help investigating.
A message was blocked
Some messages undergo automated abuse screening. Legitimate messages can sometimes be rejected. Send us the error and a non-sensitive description of the intended use so we can investigate. Do not change accounts or disguise content to bypass a block.
Disconnecting or revoking access
Open Settings → API keys on text.email and revoke the entry for the text.ly ChatGPT connection or the API key you want to stop. You can also disconnect text.ly through ChatGPT's plugin settings. Revocation stops future use of that credential; it does not undo messages already sent or cancel requests already accepted or queued.
Billing and cancellation
Visit the subscription page to manage a recurring subscription and confirm its cancellation status. If you use the prepaid Low Use Plan, email us to stop automatic top-ups. For a charge or refund question, include your account email and the charge date and amount, but no full card details.
Privacy, account deletion, and unwanted texts
For access, correction, deletion, or another privacy request, email us with the subject “text.ly privacy request.” See the Privacy Policy for details. Disconnecting the plugin does not itself delete your account, message records, or billing information.
If you received an unwanted message, ask the sender to stop. You can also report it to us with the time, sending number, and a redacted screenshot if available. Do not assume every sending route can receive replies or process STOP automatically.
Developer help
Read the API guide for request formats, authentication, and examples. When reporting an API problem, include the HTTP status and request ID, with credentials removed.
